In this Photoshop tutorial I will show you how to add natural lip gloss. This technique is very simple to use and will only take a few minutes. Here is the final result:

Add Natural Lip Gloss in Photoshop

I did this tutorial in Photoshop CS5. You can use CS3 or CS4, these versions have Quick Selection Tool. You can use Lasso Tool instead in older versions of Adobe Photoshop.

Lip gloss gives lips a mildly glossy lustre and some subtle color. We will make it in Photoshop.

Open a picture in Photoshop you wish to add lip gloss to. Make sure that they are clearly visible:

Select Quick Selection Tool Quick Selection Tool, zoom in and make a selection of lips. Take your time. Press ] and [ to change the size of Quick Selection Tool.

You can add some areas to selection and subtract them using these options:

Now you are done with the selection:

Lip Gloss

Then press Ctrl+J to duplicate layer. In Layers window you will see new layer:

Go to Filter-Artictic-Plastic Wrap. You can use my settings:

You should get something like that:

In Layers window change blend mode of second layer to Overlay and it’s Opacity to 50%:
